Xianglong Unmanned Reconnaissance Aerial Vehicle

23/11/2008 - During the Air Show China 2006, the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) unveiled the model of its “Xianglong” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) concept. The UAV appeared to be a high-altitude, long-duration UAV for strategic reconnaissance role, similar in size and arrangement to the U.S. RQ-4 Global Hawk. HQ-64 (LY-60) Surface-to-Air Missile

The HQ-64 surface-to-air missile (SAM) was developed in the 1990s by the Shanghai Academy of Space Flight Technology, based on the Italian Alenia Aspide missile technology. The missile is available in both land- and ship-based versions, and has been promoted to the export market under the designation LY-60. Report: New Missile Frigate Spotted at Huangpu Shipyard

21/09/2008 - A new missile frigate has been identified under construction at the Huangpu Shipyard in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The vessel is thought to be a follow-up of the Type 054A (Jiangkai-II class) and may be designated Type 054B (Jiangkai-III class?).
