Former PLA Navy Type 922-II (Dalang class) submarine salvage & rescue ship NANJIU 503. Launched in 1971, the vessel was decommissioned in 2006 and underwent a three-year refit. It joined the service with FLEC South Sea Agency in March 2009, and its first patrol mission was to the disputed waters near the Xisha (Paracel) Islands in the South China Sea

At least eight hulls were built by the Wuchang Shipyard for the FLEC South Sea Agency. In 2004, YUZHENG 118 took part in the joiont NPAFC patril in the North Pacific
