YLC-2 3D AIR SURVEILLANCE RADAR
(Last updated 10 September 2006)
The YLC-2 is a solid-state 3D phased-array radar designed for long-range air surveillance and target acquisition. The radar uses mechanical rotation for azimuth scanning and electronic frequency phase scanning, and has strong resistance to enemy jamming. The radar features a phases array system, low sidelobe antenna, distributed high-power solid-state transmitter, programmable digital signal processing, and large capacity multi-target tracking capabilities.
The radar uses its solid-state distributed T/R modules to form a single beam on the antenna array, which is scanning electronically in elevation and mechanically in azimuth to perform the task of air space observation. The L-band radar has a maximum range of 330km.
