SLC-2 ARTILLERY LOCATING RADAR

The SLC-2 is said to be the most advanced Chinese-developed weapon locating radar system. The radar works in the S-band and has a maximum detection range of 50km. The radar can be used to detect enemy mortar bombs, howitzer projectiles, rockets, and tactical surface-to-surface missiles, and can also be used to correct the own-side artillery fire. The radar can detect artillery projectiles up to 35km and rockets up to 50km, with a detection probability of 80%.
