JY-11 Low Altitude 3D Air Surveillance Radar | The Electronic Battlefield

The JYL-1 is one of the latest long-range 3D air surveillance radar systems developed by China Electronic Technology Group Corporation (CETC). The S-band radar system is designed to detect and track air targets in complicated electromagnetic environment and has a strong anti-jamming capability. The radar system employs a planar array antenna with low side lobes and adopts the simultaneous multiple beam technology, giving a better altitude measurement accuracy and higher data rate. The system reliability is further enhanced by the introduction of redundancy concept in the system design. The radar has a maximum detection range of over 320km and a maximum detection altitude of over 28km. The whole system consists of three units and can be assembled by eight people within one hour.
