JY-17 MANPORTABLE SURVEILLANCE RADAR

The JY-17 is a lightweight, manportable, short-range X-band ground surveillance radar for detecting, identifying, and locating moving targets in the battlefield, or to protect high-value assets. The whole system can be carried and operated by one person. The radar can operate as a stand-along system, or as part of a larger surveillance radar network. The system has a maximum detection range of 5km (vehicles) and 2km (personnel).

The improved variant known as JY-17A is a X-band medium-range, vehicle-mounted ground surveillance radar designed for battlefield surveillance, artillery fire adjustment, and border surveillance, and high-value asset protection
