The Shaanqi SX2150K is the second-generation variant of the SX2150 (previously known as SX250) series 6X6 5 tonne military truck developed by Shaanxi Automobile Corporation Ltd. The SX2150K was upgraded with the Austrian Steyr truck technologies, including the WD615.71 turbo-charged diesel engine and the Fuller RT11509C gear box. The early variant SX2150K kept the original box-shape cab of the SX250, while the later variant SX2150KS features a more modernised Steyr truck cab design.
The SX2150K is powered by a Steyr WD615.71 liquid-cooled turbo-charged diesel, developing 191kW at 2,600r/min. The RT11509C gear box has nine forward speeds and one reverse speed.
The truck is also available in different configurations including:
- SX2151 - Trcuk, 4X4, 5 tonne
- SX2153 - Workshop chassis, 6X6, 5 tonne
- SX4240ES - HET tractor, 6X6, 23 tonne
