TYPE 87 (PP87) 82MM MORTAR

The Type 87 (also known as PP87) is the improved 82mm mortar introduced by NORINCO in the late-1980s to replace the older Type 67 82mm mortar serving with the PLA infantry at battalion level. A 81mm version known as W87 was developed by NORINCO for the export market. Both Type 87 and W87 can fire the latest 81/82mm rounds developed by NORINCO.
