QLB06 35mm lightweight automatic grenade launcher (Click to enlarge)
The QLB06 is the lightweight 35mm automatic grenade launcher developed from the QLZ87. It is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, fully automatic weapon designed to provide direct fire support for infantry troops. It fires the 6kg High-Explosive (HE) and High-Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) grenades to an effective range of 600m. The HE round can generate a blast kill zone of 11m in diameter, while the HEAT round can penetrate 80mm armour. The weapon is fed from either a 6-round or 15-round cartridge drum. The grenade launcher has a foldable bipod for shooting, and is fitted with an optical/night vision telescope. The weapon was revealed by NORINCO in 2007 and is currently available to the export market.
