R-77 (AA-12) MEDIUM-RANGE AIR-TO-AIR MISSILE

The R-77 was developed by Russian Vympel Design Bureau in 1982, with the first test taking place in 1984. The PLAAF ordered a small number of the missile in 2001 and received them in 2002.
