High-Drag General-Purpose Bombs
The second-generation high-drag general bomb introduced by the PLA Air Force in the mid-1960s was developed from the Russian FAB-M54. The bomb has a nose fuse and a tail fuse, with four stabilising fins and a nose stabilising ring to give improved ballistic characteristics at supersonic speed. The bomb is normally carried inside the bomb bay of the Hong-6 bomber. The bomb is available in four variants: 250kg, 500kg, 1,500kg, and 3,000kg.
