BA-7 (ASN-7) TARGET DRONE
The Ba-7 (also known as ASN-7 in its manufacturer name) is a radioplane target drone developed by Xi'an ASN Technology Group Company of the Northwest Polytechnic University (NPU). The drone was designed mainly for air defence training, but can also be used for aerial photography and survey roles. The target drone was developed from the Ba-7 with improved performance.
The Ba-7 has high-mounted, straight wings which are slightly tapered from roots to tips. A single, prop-driven pistol engine is fitted in the nose section. The fuselage is round and tapers to front and rear, with fixed landing pads. The V-shape tail fins are high-mounted on the body and equally tapered. The drone is carried and launched on a launch mechanism mounted on a two-wheel semi-trailer with the assistance of a rocket booster, and is recovered using parachute.
