The YJ-7 (Yushu Jiaolian-7 or YunJiao-7) is the specially-modified trainer version of the Xi'an Aircraft Industry Company (XAC) Y-7-100 (An-24 Coke copy) twin-engine turboprop passenger plane. The aircraft was introduced as a replacement for the ageing HJ-5 (IL-28 Beagle) bomber-trainer in service with the PLAAF and PLA Naval Aviation Corps for the training of bomber crew. The YJ-7 is equipped with a stabilised bombing sight and an integrated navigation system. A large glass-in fairing is located on the starboard side of the aircraft for bombing training. Some training bombs can be accommodated in the under-fuselage fairings.
